WHICH WRIST THE WATCH GOES ON
If you are wondering about what wrist should a woman wear a watch, style gurus insist that it should be up to the ladies to make that decision. However, most women like to wear a watch on their dominant hand for purposes of functionality or comfort. However, if you fear to scratch or to damage your expensive watch, it’s best to wear it on your less dominant hand.
It is interesting to note that women wear watches differently, in other parts of the world. For instance, Japanese women wear their watches on the inside of the wrist because they wouldn’t have to pop their elbows so that the gesture of checking the dials by bending their wrists looks more ladylike.
But if we go back to the basics and take a closer look at the design of a watch, we notice that that the crown is almost always found on the watch’s right side. This way, the watch can be would conveniently, in case you are right-handed. So if you consider the position of the crown, the design of a traditional wristwatch favors it to be worn on the left side.
Moreover, when you wear your watch on your non-dominant hand, you are free to see what time is it when you are busy. You wouldn’t want to dump your coffee on your shirt because you wanted to check the time.
